WELCOME TO THE DREXEL UNIVERSITY CORE MODULES TRAINING PAGE

Once you have registered you will enter this training site to gain access to the following training modules for:

  1. HIPAA and Medical Research (HIPAA I)*      
    (Once completed NO recertification required)
  2. HIPAA Security (HIPAA II)*                  
    (Once completed NO recertification required)
  3. Substituted (Surrogate) Consent**           
    (Once completed NO recertification required)
  4. Infectious Substances Packaging*** (Click Here)          
    (Requires recertification every year)
*Group 1 key personnel and/or any key personnel accessing Protected Health Information (PHI) must complete both HIPAA I & II.

  **Key personnel intending to use Proxy or Surrogate Consenting procedures must complete Substituted Consent training above.

***Key personnel responsible for shipping biologic or hazardous specimens must complete the Infectious Substances Packaging training.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING COURSES ARE ONLY REQUIRED WHEN WORKING WITH RECOMBINANT DNA OR SELECT AGENTS.

    (Requires recertification every year)

    (Requires recertification every year)
As of July 1, 2010, the Drexel Human Subjects Research training module previously offered at this link will no longer be recognized by the University. Please follow the link provided to the DUCOM Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training programs where you will find the necessary guidance and FAQs to assist you.
